Website and enquiry terms

These terms govern your use of glasgowhearingaids.co.uk and any enquiry you send to us about a hearing test. The site is run by Glasgow Hearing Aids, and by using it, or by sending an enquiry through it, you accept the terms set out below.

How this site works

Hearing tests We aren't that specialist firm ourselves, and we don't carry out hearing tests, inspections, or any other work. Our part ends once we've explained the problem and passed your details along.

Using and copying our content

You're welcome to read this site and print a page for your own personal use, free of charge. The words, images, design, and underlying code belong to Glasgow Hearing Aids or to those who've licensed them to us. You may not copy any part of it for publication elsewhere, frame it inside another website, scrape it, or otherwise misuse it.

What these pages are, and aren't

Hearing tests Nothing on these pages amounts to a survey, a report, or advice about your particular hearing. Treat what you read here as background only, not a substitute for being seen by someone qualified.

Getting in touch with a specialist

Sending our enquiry form costs you nothing, and doing so doesn't create a contract between you and us. Your enquiry, with the details you gave, is passed to one specialist firm covering the area you told us about, so that they can contact you about it. They use it only to answer your enquiry and to arrange any visit or work you agree with them, and from that point they are responsible for how they handle it. We do not pass your details to anyone else for their own use. Any test, appointment, quotation, or further work is a matter between you and that specialist, agreed under their own terms, not ours. The specialist may pay us when we pass the enquiry on. You pay us nothing, and you are free to get quotes from anyone else. You're free to seek quotes or opinions from anyone else you choose, whether before or after you hear from them.

Once the specialist is in touch

The specialist who contacts you answers for their own test, their advice, any quotation they give, and any work or guarantee that follows. If something goes wrong with what they do, raise it with them first, though we're glad to hear about it too.

Keeping the site reliable

We try to keep this site accurate and available, but we can't promise either. Parts of it may be changed, removed, or temporarily unavailable without notice.

Where our responsibility ends

So far as the law allows, we aren't liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from an enquiry you send through it. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law gives you, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Other websites you might reach from here

Where a page here links elsewhere, that website isn't ours, and a link isn't a recommendation of what you'll find there.

Future versions of these terms

We may change these terms from time to time, and the version shown on this page is the one that applies. A change we make afterwards doesn't affect an enquiry you've already sent us.

Which country's law applies

These terms are governed by the law of the place where we're established. If you're a consumer, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.

If you want to complain

If you have a question about these terms, or about anything on this site, the contact page is the way to reach us. For a complaint specifically about your personal information: If you complain to us about how we have handled your personal information, we acknowledge it within 30 days and reply as soon as we can.
